New publication with Tracy Stepien and Holley Lynch.
When constructing computational models of morphogenesis researchers typically identify single sets of “good” parameters. However, these sets are often just one of many “nearly-good” parameter sets. How can we use the torrent of imaging data to test the goodness of these parameter sets and establish more robust models? Check out Tracy and Holley’s paper in PLoS One to find out. See interview and Stepien, Lynch, et al. (2019).

New publication with Harold Wolff and Roeland Merks
We adapt modeling software developed for plant morphogenesis to modeling animal cells. We incorporated “bubbly” cell boundaries and a novel sliding vertex operator to overcome ill-defined conditions that drive vertex-jumping in convention spring-vertex models of epithelial sheets.
