Congratulations to Deepthi! Deepthi’s abstract, titled “Biomechanical analysis of cell behaviors during neural plate convergent extension”, has been selected for a platform presentation in the Minisymposium entitled, “Cell Polarity and Morphogenesis” under the topic Multicellular Interactions, Tissues, and Development at the 2016 American Society for Cell Biology meeting in San Francisco in December.
Congratulations to Uma on being selected as a 2016 Beckman Scholar!
Clean sweep of the category! Congrats Tim Jackson and Deepthi Vijayraghavan!
Deepthi presented “”The role of physical forces in shaping cell behaviors during convergent extension of the flat neural plate”” and received the “”Best Predoctoral Presentation”” award at the Ninth International Neural Tube Defects Conference, held in Austin, Texas, October 26-29, 2015. She is currently working on a review paper on the topic for the journal Birth Defects Research, Part B.
Tim will be presenting:
